This book covers the requirements of the current Tanzanian Primary School syllabus for English Standard 7. The content of the book is distributed throughout the chapters of the book, thus covering the requirements of the syllabus, which include: Conjunctions, Coordinators, Figures of Speech, Reading Fluently, Pronouns, Expressions for Seeking Confirmation, Prepositions, Dictionary use and Telling direction.
The book uses the spiral learning approach to teach the four main language skills, that is listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through the chapters of the book, the pupil is continuously engaged in activities and exercises which progressively reinforce each of the four skills. As a requirement for competence-based teaching, the book has plenty of activities which engage the pupil and reinforce knowledge through practice.
