Tanzania is still a lower middle-income country despite its strategic geographical location and abundant natural resources, because of its low engineering capabilities. It recently promulgated a new 25-year vision of development, the Tanzania National Development Vision 2050, which will guide its development into the second quarter of the twenty first century of a tenuous and rapidly changing future world.
