The book exposes students to a number of language functions such as advising, arguing, apologizing, describing, explaining, identifying, offering things, giving opinions etc.
After the students have gone through this textbook, they will, therefore, be able to use the language both communicatively and meaningfully.
The book also stresses the need for students' use of the language in different contexts and situations. The teacher's role in the classroom will therefore be to facilitate the learning process. For the first time Form one students will be able to speak English fluently and confidently.
